Shazam has been updated to include YouTube Music, Google’s music service, among third-party applications, has made several updates to not be left behind in the market and that is why it continues to generate connections with its users.
The app is the first that took advantage of the microphone that most mobile devices have incorporated to get the name of a song that was being listened to at the moment and to be able to find it. The currently playing music sample can be recorded, so that an acoustic fingerprint is created from the sample and compared to a database to find matches.
The user can receive information such as the title of the song, artist, album, links of interest to streaming services such as iTunes, YouTube, Spotify, Groove Music and others, in addition to showing suggestions for other related songs and this revolutionized everything.
But it has grown so much that Shazam has reached 200 million monthly active users, a figure that makes clear its popularity and dominance over other similar proposals, especially when Apple announced its purchase for 400 million dollars.
Both companies have made an unquestionable force with an ecosystem that was more unified with the opportunity to offer users the possibility of discovering new music. That is why throughout its history it also considers that it is worth knowing what has happened, it is the case of the most searched songs. Get your headphones!
